Our favourite time of year is here, Love Island is back on our screens! But wait a moment, not everything is all as it seems…
Keep on reading to find out everything BTS in the villa, the juicy secrets and what the cast really get up to.
- Secret Saturdays
According to former Islander Kem Cetinay, the islanders actually get a day off from the villa! On Saturdays, the islanders head off to the beach for a few hours whilst the villa is given a spruce up. But don’t worry, you’re not missing out on any juicy gossip in this time…
Speaking to This Morning, Kem revealed "You’ve got to talk about home life. You’re being watched by an evil hawk, by the producers because they don’t want you to talk about what’s going on”.
- Hidden camera crew
You’ve probably all seen the secret store cupboard in the kitchen, right? Well, this is actually where the islanders fill up their water bottles. Not only that but there’s always a crew member in there! “There’s always someone hiding in the kitchen cupboard” explained Megan Barton Hanson.
- Pool rules!
It’s not very often you catch the islanders in the pool, and all for good reason! As you can understand, the mic packs are not waterproof, meaning anything said in the pool can’t really be heard. For this reason, the pool is a strictly no flirting zone, or we’d miss all the juicy goss!!
- Wardrobe mayhem
As you probably already know, most the clothes the islanders wear are actually picked out a selection of clothes from whichever brand is sponsoring the show at the time. According to previous islanders, the original line up gets first dibs. For anyone who comes in late, its pretty much a free for all of what’s left over.
- Sneaky Maccies??
As you probably notice when watching the show in previous years, you never really see the islanders eating apart from breakfast time. This is because their lunch and dinners are all provided for them. Anton Danyluk even confessed to having a few McDonalds during his time in the villa. He revealed he had McFlurries delivered by producers on a WEEKLY basis (jel)! “I think it was about once a week we were getting them. I had a few chicken nuggets here and there.”
Well, we never expected that one!
