Social media can be so toxic, something we should all take as a pinch of salt! (Ps. MOST OF IT IS FAKE) And the more you aimlessly scroll through, the more damaging it can be. We suggest instead of going entirely cold turkey regarding digital devices, just delete the social media apps. Don’t worry hun, you can still text your bestie!

Take up a new hobby to replace the time you were spending on social media, try going on some evening walks, or meet up with friends. Have you tried knitting? Learn a new language? The list of options is literally endless, and life will become so much more productive!

If you’re struggling to even make the first step deleting those socials, find a detox app! There are so many to choose from, find the one that works best for you and get detoxing.
Enjoying a balanced diet

We know this one is much easier said than done when takeaways are just so easy to order! We’re not saying don’t have takeaways (you’re only human). But maybe make a lifestyle change. Its so easy to get caught up in the diet fads we see around us. However, punishing yourself if not the answer to a positive mental attitude towards food!

Enjoy that balance gurl and nourish your body with the food you love and need.

Surround yourself with positivity

If possible, try to put them negative thoughts to the back of your mind, focus on the positives. Now use this as a rule of thumb for every situation. Block out the negative people in your life and surround yourself with people who make you happy! It’ll make alllll the difference. Look out for those who have a positive mindset on life and practice self-love, people who will push you for the better and encourage you in life generally. Cut ties with those who drag you down. It may be hard at first but 100% worth it in the long term.

Compliment Others

Sometimes in life we subconsciously judge what others are doing and forget to praise when they do well. Go out of your way to compliment those around you. Whether this be your bestie, your colleague, or a stranger! Remember how it might have felt in the past when a stranger loved your outfit… It made you feel amazing, right? So, repay the favour when you can! You never know how happy it might make them feel!
Consider the greater scale

If you’re still struggling to see yourself in your true beauty, take a step back and look from someone else’s perspective. Remember beauty isn’t just what we see on the outside, but it includes your personality, talents, mindset, and so on! It’s so easy to get caught up on what we see on the outside, but on the greater scheme of things, there’s so much more to life! And once you realise this, life becomes so much more enjoyable.
Make a list of everything you love about yourself

Last and by no means least, make a list! It might be hard to get going, so think about the things you have maybe been complimented on before. This could be on the inside or the outside, learn to love your uniqueness because everybody is so different.
